The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) is
offering up to $10,000 in scholarships for the 2009/2010 school
year. Successful recipients must be U.S. citizens and enrolled
full time at the senior level. Undergraduate students planning
to graduate in June/December of 2010 will be eligible for the
2009 scholarship.
Minimum Criteria: Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 for the first three
years at college. A typewritten essay on the topic: "What is
ASDSO and why is dam safety important" must be submitted.
Applications must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2009.
Announcement of successful candidates will be made in June 2009.
SEAOSD Scholarship
Message from Professor Todd regarding this scholarship.
Dear SE students:
I wanted to alert everyone to a $1500 scholarship opportunity
from the Structural Engineers Association of San Diego (SEAOSD).
You cannot apply directly to this scholarship, as I have to
nominate up to 3 students. This scholarship rewards academic
achievement and a clear desire to pursue a structural
engineering career. If you are interested, please send me (1)
your resume, (2) your (unofficial) transcript, and (3) a 1-page
letter describing your professional goals after graduation and
how these goals relate to structural engineering.
The deadline for this submission to me is MONDAY MARCH 16.
While the top priorities are stated above, I will also give
priority to seniors and SCSE active members, all other things
being equal.
