SCSE stands for the Society of Civil and Structural Engineers. We are the Student Chapter at the University of California, San Diego of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). We are also the student chapter for SEAOSD (Structural Engineers Association of San Diego) and ACI (American Concrete Institute). Our chapter is involved in many activities throughout the year designed to encourage students to become more familiar with their career paths involving Structural Engineering, meet faculty and staff in the department, and create lasting friendships and associations with other students and professionals in the industry. Our General Body Meetings are generally three times a quarter in U409 (meeting location may change). Specific dates and times will be announced on the website as they approach. Come to one of our General Body Meetings or contact our officers to learn about the different aspects of the chapter and current topics in civil and structural engineering.
