What is SCSE?
UC San Diego's Society of Civil and Structural Engineers (SCSE) is a professional student organization. Our nonprofit student chapter is affiliated with ASCE, ASCE YMF, SEAOSD, AISC, EERI, and ACI. SCSE's members are comprised of undergraduate and graduate students of UC San Diego who have experienced various aspects of SCSE and many have participated on our amazing teams such as: Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Seismic Design, and our Seismic Outreach Program. SCSE is a great way to network with professional engineering industries and to build a bond and teamwork with other engineering students.
Mission Statement
The Society of Civil and Structural Engineers is established to supplement the engineering education of University of California, San Diego students, promote the personal and professional development of its members, and to improve the community of which we are part through outreach and community service.
